AGRICULTURAL FUNGICIDE

The biochemical fungicide, PROBLAD™, is manufactured as an end-use product. PROBLAD™ contains 20% of the active ingredient, BLAD (pure active ingredient). The product is registered as a new biofungicide for the control and suppression of several fungal diseases in various crops and ornamentals. It delays the development of resistance, without chemical residues.

 

FORMULATION

PROBLAD™ is a liquid biofungicide formulation, containing 250 g of BLAD active ingredient per litre, used for the control or suppression of many important crop diseases. The only other inert ingredients, intentionally added, are water required for the seed germination and BLAD extraction and other Inerts exempt from the requirement of tolerance.

PROBLAD™ fungicide has a complex mode of action, referred to as Multi-site Mode of Action, and carries the unique FRAC code of BM 01. This multiple-site mode of action not only creates an effective fungicide, but also makes it very difficult for fungus to develop resistance.

PROBLAD™ fungicide works on:

  • contact,
  • tissue absorption,
  • translaminar properties.

The active ingredient (BLAD) binds to fungal chitin structures, disturbing the cell wall and cell membrane and enters into the fungus cell.

RESULT:

Inside, the cell induces major changes in cell metabolism, from disrupting the cell metal homeostasis due to its chelating activity for several cations. This initiates a chain of events that:

  • disrupts nutrient absorption,
  • ends cellular reproduction
  • ultimately leads to apoptotic fungus cell death.

All this occurs within eight to sixteen hours of contact. The result is quick, reliable disease control that meets or exceeds established standards.

APPLICATION

PROBLAD™ can be applied as a:

  • foliar spray stand-alone
  • in tank mixes with other registered pesticides

PROBLAD™ can be applied with:

  • spray equipment commonly used for making ground applications,
  • aerial applications,
  • sprinkler/irrigation systems commonly used for chemigation.

WHY USE PROBLAD?

  • Using Copper-based fungicides can be effective etc. However, using too much can cause the copper to build up in the soil until it reaches a level too toxic for plants / trees to grow.
